The Board Certified Oral and maxillofacial surgeons at Dattilo, Hall and Cillo, LLC are trained in all aspects of anesthesia administration and all have unrestricted General Anesthesia licenses in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Following dental school, each doctor completed a minimum of four years of training in a hospital-based surgical residency program alongside medical residents in general surgery, anesthesia and other specialties. During this time, they served on the medical anesthesiology service, where we evaluated patients for anesthesia, delivered the anesthetic and monitored post-anesthetic patients. The doctors utilize the team approach to the administration of office-based general anesthesia with employment of a highly trained staff and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA) to ensure that you or your love ones procedure is completed in comfort and safe manner.
Extensive Training and Experience
As a result of our extensive training, every Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon is well-prepared to appropriately administer local anesthesia, all forms of sedation and general anesthesia. We are experienced in airway management, endotracheal intubation, establishing and maintaining intravenous lines, and managing complications and emergencies that may arise during the administration of anesthesia. All members of our team are Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS – First Aid) and each Surgeon and CRNA is also Certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Life Support (PALS).
Before your surgery, we and our CRNA will review the type of anesthetic to be used, as well as the way you’re likely to feel during and after the operation. This is the time to discuss any concerns you may have about any facet of the operation. Usually, patients describe their feelings during surgery as comfortable and surprisingly pleasant. After surgery, you may be prescribed a medication to make you as comfortable as possible when you get home.
